The process of analysing, synthesising and evaluating the best- available evidence, and integrating it with individual expertise and service users’ needs and preferences to inform practice.
Description: 
Using evidence to lead practice describes thebehaviour, knowledge and skills required to:
  • systematically search for evidence;
  • critically appraise evidence and use the information to address problems and issues arising in practice.
